Earth Blue Tree: The edge of August.

I am writing this with only a few hours left of August, thus the edge, of a great, great summer! The Blue Tree still stands. Every time it comes into view it's startling, startlingly beautiful to my eye and I hope to others. The corn is green, green. The wildflowers are bright yellow. The clouds put on a show over the field and forest and there was a beautiful murmuration in the sky. (A new favorite word!) The road around the field has been recently mowed. The ground is hard and the creek is low. Perfect viewing conditions in my mind. Although it's all perfect, really.
