Larry and I visited the tree yesterday, a beautiful sunny Saturday afternoon, and we found the corn maze in full swing! We could hear the sound of laughter coming from the high corn and saw families relaxing on the lawn near the butterfly garden. The Blue Tree was in full sight of so many! Larry couldn't resist and asked the ticket sellers, "So, what's with the blue tree?" I loved their response! "It was painted by an artist. It has to do with connecting life and death, the blue sky and us, heaven and earth and all that stuff." Absolutely.
Larry pointed out that part of the pleasure of the blue tree is that it is so close to the field which is always changing! Life goes on. Seasons. Very cool and still blue.
